Pastor Owusu-Bempah urges Ghanaians not to pressure Mahama once he takes office
Founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries, Pastor Isaac Owusu-Bempah has advised Ghanaians not to put pressure on President-elect John Mahama when he takes office on January 7, 2025.
Speaking during a night vigil at his church on December 31, 2024, the prophet urged Ghanaians to be patient with the new leader and give him time and space to implement measures that will put Ghana back on the path of development and prosperity.
“Our future president will be sworn in and sworn in on January 7. I urge him to be patient. We should not put pressure on him. Things will improve but it will take time. We need patience as we rejig things. Let him press the right buttons and rejig the nation,” Pastor Owusu Bempah said.
He added: “He has a good heart, a deep love for Ghana, love for humanity and humility. He has noble intentions for Ghana and will take it to greater heights. We should be patient with him and we will all witness how he develops the country and improves the lives of all Ghanaians.”
In his New Year address to the nation, President-elect Mahama outlined his vision and priorities, which include working to transform the economy, supporting entrepreneurship and innovation, lean and efficient government, fighting corruption and overspending, and empowering the youth.
He also stressed the focus on justice and shared prosperity, working with business leaders and committed to supporting the government’s efforts to create jobs and prosperity.
“We are committed to removing obstacles, streamlining processes and providing the necessary resources,” President-elect Mahama said.
