I’ll not participate in any NPP committee to probe election defeat – Obiri Boahen

Nana Obiri Boahen, who previously served as the Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has announced that he will not participate in any potential selection for a committee that would investigate the party’s recent electoral loss.

He noted that, despite his loyal support for the party throughout the years, he was excluded from the 2024 campaign team, even after making significant contributions to the party’s efforts.

In a conversation on Neat FM on January 10, 2025, he expressed his reluctance to join any committee due to the lack of recognition and reward for his contributions.

He also highlighted that while he continues to have affection for the NPP and maintains his membership despite current difficulties, he hopes for the best for the party.

“After putting in all my efforts and backing the team fully, I received no acknowledgment or compensation. I was left out of the campaign team, so I do not see why I would be interested in joining a committee now. If you were in my position, would you join? I initiated a large campaign, but when the campaign team was established, I was pushed aside,” he lamented.
