ORAL has collected sufficient evidence concerning misappropriated government resources – Ablakwa

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the head of Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) and Member of Parliament representing North Tongu, has revealed that the team has gathered substantial evidence indicating that assets belonging to the state have been misappropriated by those appointed during the previous administration.

Ablakwa mentioned that the collected evidence will soon be presented to President John Dramani Mahama for further action.

A few weeks ago, President Mahama tasked Ablakwa along with Daniel Domelevo, Raymond Archer, Martin Kpebu, and Nathan Kofi Boakye to investigate and compile evidence related to the misappropriation of assets and state capture.

Speaking to journalists in the Eastern Region, Ablakwa expressed his assurance in the team’s success, describing their efforts as productive and confirming their commitment to ensuring accountability.

“We will keep the specifics of our findings confidential until we deliver our report to His Excellency the President. During that presentation, the people of Ghana will witness the substantial efforts that have been made, the breadth of the looting, and how we have all united to ensure the evidence is organized and presented so that our attorney general and relevant institutions can assist us in recovering these assets.”
