Bawa Mogtari questions the NPP government about whether roads will be eaten in 2024
The spokesperson for the John Dramani Mahama campaign, Joyce Bawa Mogtari, has raised concerns about the sudden shift from economic issues to infrastructure leading up to the 2024 election.
In 2016, the New Patriotic Party, under Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, urged Ghanaian voters to consider their finances when voting. However, Mogtari alleges that in 2024, the government has engaged influencers to highlight infrastructure projects, such as roads.
She expresses surprise at the emphasis on infrastructure by the current administration, stating that roads do not address the basic need for sustenance as they did not in 2016. It is strange that in 2024, there are efforts to enlist and incentivize key influencers to endorse infrastructure projects as part of a reelection campaign.
What transpired, what has shifted? May I inquire of @NAkufoAddo and #Bawuliar whether there is a plan to utilize roads for consumption now that the NPP holds power? #GhanaDeservesBetter. All responses should be in English language.
