Every Ashanti choosing to vote for Bawumia is deemed as ‘cow meat – Alan’s boy

The National Coordinator of Zumanta for Alan Kyerematen, Bala Maikankan, also known as Chairman Bala, is facing allegations of utilizing tribalism in his campaign efforts to attract voters in the Ashanti Region.

Speaking to a group of Movement for Change followers following a walk in the Ashanti Region on Saturday, October 19, 2024, Chairman Bala made derogatory comments regarding the New Patriotic Party’s intentions to secure Ashanti votes for Dr. Kyerematen.

Mahamudu Bawumia is being promoted to Zongo residents based on his religion and background, encouraging them to support him in the elections. Do you support his candidacy?

If Bawumia plays into religious and tribal affiliations, and the Ashanti community chooses to vote for him, they are simply being manipulated. Should Bawumia appeal for votes from Zongo communities based on his Muslim background, it follows that Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, as an Ashanti, could also appeal to them as a fellow kinsman.

If you do not vote for him, you are considered meat. Anyone from the Ashanti community who votes for Bawumia is deemed cow meat,” he stated. His remarks have faced strong backlash on social media, with certain individuals deeming his words offensive and divisive.
