Kahpun Set to Bury Shatta Wale, Jefri King, and Xhila Roy in “Close Casket” on October 23
Ghanaian-UK-based reggae and dancehall sensation Kahpun is ready to shake the dancehall scene with his much-anticipated Mixtape, “HeighTape.”
Volume 1 comes with a monster dancehall diss “Close Casket” Targeting self-proclaimed African dancehall king Shatta Wale, alongside Jefri King and Xhila Roy, the controversial song is set for release on October 23, 2024.
“Close Casket,” a hard-hitting lyrical diss, aims to metaphorically bury these three dancehall artistes. The Fante Dancehall originator did not only send direct shots but also addresses broader issues within the dancehall fraternity. Higher Heightz Army Fans can expect a bold, no-holds-barred track that amplifies his reputation for unfiltered commentary through sharp lyrics.
The song is part of Kahpun’s much anticipated upcoming project”HeighTape” ; a four-volume mixtape hosted by 4 prominent DJs, including DJ Ras Nico, DJ Justice, DJ Nature Won, and DJ Sympathie. Scheduled for release this winter, “HeighTape” marks Kahpun’s second major mixtape series since his 2016 Psycho Mixtape, bringing together 20 dynamic tracks spread across the four volumes.
Each DJ-led volume contains five tracks, offering listeners a unique vibe that showcases Kahpun’s versatility and creative growth. Fans have eagerly awaited new music from him, and “Heigh Tape” is his way of keeping them entertained while he works on his next full album. With tracks mixed and mastered by Ivan Beatz, Abe Beatz, and Oja 420, the mixtape promises a fresh, edgy sound powered by Kahpun’s Higher Heightz Army camp and Heightz Promotions.
