President Akufo-Addo Claims John Mahama Lacks a Policy

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is questioning what former president John Mahama intends to accomplish by returning to the presidency after experiencing an unparalleled electoral loss at the hands of the Ghanaian populace.

“Every leader within the fourth Republic had the opportunity to fulfill two terms in office as the constitution allows, with the exception of the late J.E.A. Mills who was taken from us by death. John Dramani Mahama stands out as the sole president in the fourth Republic who has faced rejection on two occasions following his initial term in office,” President Akufo-Addo stated.

He remarked that the citizens of Ghana delivered a significant defeat to John Mahama after experiencing his inadequate government, which suffered from unstable power supply.

While addressing a durbar held in his honor by the Akyem Abuakwa traditional Council in Kyebi as part of his ‘Thank You Tour’ to the Eastern Region, Nana Akufo-Addo encouraged Ghanaians to once again turn down John Mahama.

He asserted that Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia is the ideal candidate to carry on the many social intervention initiatives launched by his administration.

“On Saturday, I urge you to cast your votes in favor of Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia to safeguard and advance all the developmental endeavors I have initiated,” President Akufo-Addo emphasized.

As noted by Nana Akufo-Addo, John Mahama has demonstrated to the public that he lacks confidence in all of his policies, including free SHS, Agenda 111, the 1D1F project, and various other initiatives of his administration. He further indicated that these projects would be at risk if Ghanaians opt to vote for John Mahama.

“Mahama lacks a coherent policy; he makes broad claims about ‘resetting Ghana.’ Is a reset truly a policy? He talks about a ’24-hour economy,’ yet whenever asked for clarification, he refers to it as voluntary. You couldn’t maintain our power for 24 hours, yet you expect to implement a 24-hour economy? How is that possible?” the president queried.

He expressed disapproval of individuals who are utilizing religious sentiments in this election, asserting that all Ghanaians, regardless of their religious beliefs, should have equal rights and opportunities.

The Okyenhene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin contended that it requires a visionary leader and someone who deeply considers the future generations to make the significant decisions that Nana Akufo-Addo has made during his administration.

Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin remarked that the Free SHS Policy will be remembered as one of the most beneficial initiatives in Ghana’s history.

“Presently, many individuals might not recognize the advantages of free SHS, but in the coming years, we will come to appreciate its value. No child should be deprived of basic education based on their parents’ or family’s financial situation,” Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin stated.

He concluded by asserting that future generations will be the best evaluators.
