Their confrontation necessitated intervention from their teammates to diffuse the situation. This altercation took place post-game as the team regrouped on the field before heading to the locker room.
Ghana’s defeat, with a score of 2-0 at the Martyrs of February Stadium, has put them in a challenging position in the competition. With only two points garnered from four matches, they currently occupy the third spot in their group standings.
To secure qualification for the AFCON, the Black Stars must now win their remaining two matches and hope for Sudan’s defeats, as failing to qualify would mark their first absence from the tournament in two decades.
