Omanhene of Akomadan is surprised by Bawumia’s kindness and compassion for the less fortunate

The leader of Akomadan, Nana Boakye Akuamoah Boateng II, has praised the Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Known for his caring and generous nature towards those in need, showed compassion during a campaign event in Akomadan, located in the Offinso North Constituency of the Ashanti Region, on a Tuesday.

Bawumia, the leader of Akomadan, shared how he was moved to tears by the amazing kindness of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia constructed a house for an 82-year-old abandoned leper in a village near Wa.

Bawumia reacted favorably to a documentary that showed the poor living conditions of an 82-year-old abandoned leper who resided in a dilapidated mud house with her granddaughter.

Bawumia assisted the elderly woman by constructing a new home for her in her village of Motori, located in the Wa West District of the Upper West Region. The Akomadan Omanhene remembered Dr. Bawumia showed a remarkable gesture. Seeing this, someone emotionally reacted, asking Bawumia “what kind of a man are you?”.

“I shed tears when Dr. Bawumia came to the aid of an impoverished woman. This lady was an extremely impoverished woman residing in a rundown building. However, Bawumia noticed her situation and promised to construct a home for her. “It touched my heart and I said, this is a leader,” the Omanhene said.

“How Bawumia was able to reach out to this poor woman and built a house for her, was really touching. I was deeply moved. you’re thoughtful. You are a benevolent and caring individual who should guide this nation.

“The Offinsohene also praised Dr. Smith.” Bawumia is known for his kindness and compassion towards lepers and the less privileged in society.

“This is not the only example of his generosity,” he said. Whenever he celebrates his birthday, he shares it with lepers and eats meals with them. “What kind of a man is this? It is very rare to find such kind people,” he added. Apart from praising Dr. Bawumia for his generosity, the Offinsohene also praised Dr. Bawumia for his expertise and foresight.

“Not only this, he is well-informed, he is forward-thinking, he is caring and also empathetic.”
