Okatakyie sends strong warning to Owusu-Bempah
Media personality Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah has stated his intention to vigorously protect himself, potentially utilizing a firearm, against any threat. Isaac Owusu-Bempah reportedly followed through with his purported threats of violence against him.
The contentious pastor supposedly made threats to harm the radio host following accusations of fraud and dishonesty towards the public.
During a broadcast on Angel FM, a recorded telephone conversation between the two individuals, as heard on Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah’s show featured a voice identified as Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah. Owusu-Bempah was reported to have made threats to harm the presenter, including mentioning intentions to physically harm him and use hired individuals to carry out an assault.
In response to these alleged threats, the media personality asserted his readiness to defend himself against any potential harm, even mentioning the use of a gun for self-protection. I am notifying the Ghana Police Service that I will not passively stand by if these criminals pursue me.
He has made threats to extract my intestines. If he arrives, as previously stated, I shall not remain motionless – I am not an inanimate object. I have already given a forewarning about any potential occurrences.
“I would like to issue this alert. Former COP Kofi Boakye advised me that when facing death threats, it may be wise to seek reconciliation with the individual making the threats. He emphasized that once a life has been taken, there is no turning back.
Personally, I refuse to passively accept harm, as my family is prepared to invest GH₵100,000 in a coffin for my burial. If someone is able to afford a coffin priced at GH₵100,000, they could also acquire a pistol in Ghana for between GH₵14,000 and GH₵20,000. If I divide the total by five, I will be able to purchase five pistols.
I am cautioning anyone who may pursue me that their arrival will result in conflict.
“And I am unafraid – for it is ‘born one day, die one day.’ I am not timid. Inform Owusu-Bempah that he is not a pastor; rather, he is a fraud who has managed to dupe others into believing he is a religious figure.
During my appearances on the show, I always have a small bag in my possession. The bag does not hold any currency. “An experimental approach is needed to determine the outcome,” expressed Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah.
