Nana Addo endorses Bawumia

Nana Akufo-Addo has urged the people of Ghana to support the NPP’s presidential candidate, Dr. [Name]. Mahamudu Bawumia is being urged to uphold the party’s position in government to ensure continuity of key programs, such as the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy that has benefited numerous households in the country.

The President endorsed Bawumia as a reliable and competent leader capable of carrying forward these commendable policies to enhance the country’s economic progress during a meeting with the people of Tamale.

Additionally, he encouraged the opposition party’s flagbearer, John Mahama, to engage in a national debate to clarify his stance on the Free SHS policy and allow Ghanaians to make informed decisions.

Bawumia and certain NPP members have repeatedly requested a debate with the NDC flagbearer. However, the NDC has declined the invitation multiple times, stating that their flagbearer will not engage in a debate with Dr. Bawumia. Bawumia.

President Akufo-Addo believes that electing former President Mahama for another term would have a negative impact, as he may overturn beneficial policies from the NPP’s eight years in power. During his recent visit to the North East Region as part of his ‘Thank you tour’, President Akufo-Addo urged voters not to be swayed by former President John Mahama’s tactics in the upcoming December 7 election.

In addressing various policy measures, the President highlighted former President Jerry John Rawlings’ role in decentralization within District Assemblies, former President John Agyekum Kufuor’s establishment of the National Health Insurance policy, and the current NPP government’s implementation of the Free SHS policy.

He also pointed out that former President Mahama’s tenure is often associated with the challenges of frequent power outages, known as ‘dumsor’, which adversely impacted the country’s electricity supply and numerous businesses during the NDC administration.
