I’m disheartened by the need of streetlights on streets at night – Kuami Eugene 

Ghanaian artist Kuami Eugene has raised his concerns regarding the lack of street illumination during nighttime hours.

Following an accident he went through in 2024, he highlighted the necessity for drivers to ensure their vehicle lights are functioning properly prior to taking off.

“I ask everyone to make it a point to check your vehicle’s lights before you head out,” he remarked.

“Since many of our roads lack streetlights after dark, having broken car lights puts you in a precarious situation,” he added.

He also pointed out, “It is truly unfortunate that our roads are not equipped with visible streetlights at night. Therefore, if you drive, I strongly recommend checking your lights before you get on the road.”

Kuami Eugene additionally urged all drivers, especially those who are negligent, to prioritize their safety and health.

“Consider your life. If you notice someone driving too fast, kindly tell them to ease off, after all, you’re not heading to heaven,” he concluded.
