I will address youth unemployment by focusing on the digital economy – Bawumia

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has restated his dedication to addressing Ghana’s youth unemployment issue.

While speaking at a rally in Kpando, Volta Region, Bawumia reiterated his goal of creating one million jobs if elected as Ghana’s next president.

Central to his approach is providing essential digital skills to the country’s youth to enhance their competitiveness in the global economy, irrespective of their educational qualifications. Bawumia stressed that his primary focus is on tackling youth unemployment and highlighted the importance of empowering young individuals with the necessary tools and knowledge to tap into the growing digital economy as a solution to Ghana’s unemployment challenges.

“All youth require job opportunities. I aim to equip one million young individuals in Ghana with digital literacy skills. All individuals, including those who may not have completed their formal education, have the opportunity to acquire digital skills. You can reside in Kpando while working remotely for companies located in America, Germany, Japan, the UK, and the US. Utilize your digital skills to begin working immediately from this point onward.
