I am concerned about who will assume the seat after me – Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commended Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, has expressed confidence in his candidacy for the position of Ghana’s president.

He emphasized this during a gathering of local leaders in the North East Region while on tour. Bawumia should be recognized for his accomplishments as vice president, rather than voters making decisions based on his hometown. He stressed the importance of determining his successor in the upcoming December elections, urging the audience to endorse and entrust Dr. with their votes. Bawumia:

“I have considerable apprehension regarding the individual who will occupy this position next year.” I am calling on you, as well as all individuals in the North East Region, to unite and work together to support Mahamudu Bawumia in his bid to become the next president of Ghana.

I am not asking for your support based on his ethnicity, but rather his qualifications and abilities. The crucial factor is his quality, which positions him as a strong candidate for the presidency of Ghana. “If there is anyone who can attest to Bawumia’s competence, capability, dedication, and work ethic, it is myself, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. I can confirm that,” he stated to a warm reception from the audience.
