How Salifu Amoako responded to the news of his son’s involvement in a car accident
Prophet Nicholas Osei, also known as Prophet Kumchacha, has confirmed that the son of a fellow priest, Archbishop Salifu Amoako, was responsible for the East Legon accident resulting in the deaths of two individuals.
During an appearance on Okay FM on Monday, October 14, 2024, Prophet Kumchacha disclosed that the news had deeply impacted the distressed pastor. The revelation has caused Archbishop Salifu Amoako to experience sleepless nights and a feeling of spiritual emptiness since learning of the tragic incident involving his son’s vehicle. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to the family.
He has been unable to sleep. The news has left him devastated. He expressed that it is difficult to accept and the family should take solace in the fact that it is a challenging situation. He gave an example of how he would feel if two of his children were to die on their way out, which would leave him feeling almost lost as well.
On October 12, 2022, CCTV footage of the crash showed the deaths of two women and critical injuries to three others. The footage depicted a speeding vehicle colliding with another vehicle at a junction on a main road.
In addition to the fatalities, the drivers of a Jaguar and an Acura vehicle sustained injuries of varying severity and are currently in critical condition. Assistant Division Officer (ADO) Alex King Nartey from the Ghana National Fire Service Public Affairs Department confirmed the incident during an interview with Adom FM.
ADO Nartey stated that the deceased were in the Artura vehicle and initial investigations point towards over-speeding as the cause of the accident. He further disclosed that one of the vehicles hit a wooden electric pole, leading to the cables falling and igniting a fire.
