Highlights of Real Madrid’s impressive 5-2 victory against Borussia Dortmund

Vinicius Junior netted a hat-trick to lead Real Madrid in a remarkable second-half comeback, overturning a 2-0 deficit to defeat Borussia Dortmund 5-2. Goals from Donyell Malen and Jamie Gittens put Dortmund ahead at half-time, a repeat of last year’s final which Real had won 2-0.

Antonio Rudiger and Vinicius quickly equalized for Real in the second half, followed by a goal from Captain Lucas Vazquez to put the hosts ahead. Vinicius added two late goals to secure the win. Despite a strong start by Dortmund.

Real Madrid’s unbeaten home run in the Champions League was preserved thanks to crucial saves by Thibaut Courtois and standout performances from Vinicius.

The victory puts Real and Dortmund on equal footing in the league standings. Additionally, at just 20 years and 75 days old, Gittens became the youngest Englishman to score against Real Madrid, breaking Alan Smith’s record.
