Gary Lineker’s reacts to Fatawu Issahaku’s impressive performance for Leicester City
Renowned former English footballer, Gary Lineker, has raised questions regarding the absence of Ghanaian forward Fatawu Issahaku in Leicester City’s starting line-up in the English Premier League.
Lineker, a devoted supporter of the Foxes along with his family, expressed concern whenever Issahaku is not included in the starting eleven due to his evident talent.
The host of Match of the Day on BBC commended Issahaku for his outstanding performance in Leicester’s victory over Southampton, urging the Foxes’ coach to consider starting the player in future matches.
Lineker further remarked on the selection of the running order for the broadcast, noting that the absence of Issahaku’s performance in the discussion was surprising. I will never have knowledge of this.
The dynamics of the game shifted significantly with the introduction of Fatawu. As a supporter of Leicester City, my children also cheer for the team.
“Whenever we check the lineup and he’s not included, we exclaim, ‘Oh no, not again.’ “Why isn’t he participating in the match?’ Lineker remarked on MOTD broadcasted on October 20, 2024. Issahaku, despite playing just 31 minutes, contributed an assist and had the most touches, totaling 7, in the game.”
