Four independent Members of Parliament partner with the Majority Caucus

The Majority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has revealed that the four independent Members of Parliament have made their choice to partner with the Majority Caucus in the legislature.

Dr. Forson mentioned that although all four independent MPs have affirmed their position, only Kwame Asare Obeng, representing Gomoa Central, has formally expressed his choice to the Majority Caucus.

The other three MPs, Ohene Kwame Frimpong, who serves Asante Akim North, Nandaya Yaw Stanley, representing Wulensi, and Worlasi Kpeli from Afram Plains North, have been instructed to officially inform the Majority Caucus and the Speaker about their decision for acknowledgment.

“We have now received communications from all four of them. Therefore, Mr. Speaker, we will await their formal letters to you.

“Mr. Speaker, I would like to point out that, as of now, the MP for Gomoa Central has submitted his letter to us, but the others have not yet formally confirmed their positions,” he remarked in Parliament on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
