Bolt Ghana recognizes driver for returning misplaced Ghc 38,600 transfer

Albert Quansah, a driver for Bolt in Ghana, has gained recognition for his integrity after demonstrating exceptional honesty when a passenger mistakenly transferred GHS 38,600 to his mobile money account.

Quansah’s actions have been praised by Bolt, who rewarded him with both a monetary prize and a sound system for his selfless deed. The incident occurred when the passenger, attempting to send funds to a colleague during the journey, accidentally sent the significant sum to Quansah’s account. Quansah’s account multiple times.

Upon realizing his mistake, the anxious passenger contacted Mr. Quansah. Quansah had been trying to reach the passenger to return the funds.

“When I saw the significant sum in my account, I promptly attempted to contact the passenger to inform him of the error, but his phone was busy.

I then opted to return to the drop-off location in the hope that he would still be there,” Mr. Quansah stated. Quansah recalled. The passenger was surprised by Mr. Quansah maintained a tranquil and collected attitude during the entire ordeal. He commended Mr. Quansah’s actions, for his handling of the situation.  as he calmly reassured me of his attempts to contact me, were commendable.

I was amazed that he returned to the location where he had left me to return the money. His honesty served as a beacon of hope, reinstating my trust in mankind.

Mr. Quansah exceeded expectations by returning GHS 15,000 to the designated recipient and relinquishing his mobile phone and password to the passenger, citing surpassing his daily transfer limit. He made a commitment to come back the following day to reclaim his phone, relying on the passenger to complete the rest of the transfer.

Mr. Quansah’s venture into the online driving industry is just as motivating as his demonstration of integrity. He disclosed that he resided with a friend for a decade and received training as a plumber. However, financial challenges arose, leading him to explore alternate means of supporting his younger siblings.

“Upon finishing high school, I found it difficult to support my siblings due to their young age,” he explained. I discovered online driving courses and informed the gentleman I was residing with of my interest. He is a highly commendable individual, as he sponsored my enrollment in driving school and provided me with a vehicle to kickstart my driving journey. “Thanks to his assistance, I am now able to support my family,” he stated.

Since the incident gained widespread attention, Mr. Quansah has been presented with various gifts and financial contributions from individuals who were moved by his integrity. “I have been receiving numerous messages, gifts, and monetary donations from those who have learned about the incident.”

Reflecting on the overwhelming feeling, I am pleased to know that my honesty is valued. This is not the initial occasion Mr. Quansah has taken the initiative to return items left in his car by passengers.

“I have consistently made it a priority to return any belongings left behind by passengers in my vehicle.” “It is simply the appropriate course of action, and I have no expectations of reciprocation,” he stated.

Mr. Johnson, the CEO of the company, emphasized the importance of ethical behavior and moral integrity. Quansah also provided guidance for fellow drivers, encouraging them to maintain professionalism and ethics in their actions.

“To all drivers, uphold a high standard of integrity and honesty in your profession. Establish a strong rapport with your passengers and view challenges as learning opportunities rather than obstacles,” he recommended.

He praised Bolt for their assistance, noting, “Bolt has provided invaluable support to us drivers.” I appreciate their acknowledgment and the prize they presented to me. The incident has evoked strong emotions in me, and I am amazed by the level of appreciation I have received from people. The passenger expressed profound gratitude towards Mr.  Quansah’s gesture, extended to cover his daily sales of GHS 700, serves as a token of gratitude for his honesty and professionalism.
