Asantehene praises Afua Asantewaa for her extraordinary courage
The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has commended Ghana’s Guinness World Records contestant, Ms. Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, for his extraordinary courage and perseverance in expanding Ghana’s musical influence on the global map.
He said Asantewaa’s tenacity in achieving global recognition in Ghanaian music has inspired the admiration of all and should be acknowledged.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu made this recommendation during a courtesy visit by Mrs. Asantewaa to the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
The visit coincided with the Asanteman’s first Awukudae celebration and was to express gratitude to the Asantehene for the marathon singer’s incredible dedication, talent and the warm welcome he received in his ambitious second attempt at a music Guinness World Record in Kumasi. Put, exhibit.
Asantewaa’s unwavering determination was evident during his second Guinness World Records attempt, which took place from 21 to 26 December 2024 at the Heroes Park Annex, Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Their extraordinary musical performance thrilled local and international audiences against the backdrop of the vibrant atmosphere of the stadium.
Her resilience and passion for music not only impressed the Asantehene but also earned her praise from all who witnessed her groundbreaking endeavor.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu commended her efforts in enhancing Ghana’s cultural heritage and urged her to continue her efforts without letting up.
Asantewaa, who is awaiting recognition from the Guinness World Records on her second attempt, continues to be a symbol of inspiration for all aspiring musicians and artists across the country.
She arrived at Manhyia Palace accompanied by Kwame Adinkra, a respected radio presenter from the Ashanti region, and her husband Mr. Kofi Owusu Aduonum, who supported her.
