Ablakwa criticizes Napo, demands release from misinformation amidst CSE curriculum accusations
The North Tongu MP, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has requested divine intervention for Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as Napo, is the running mate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He has accused his opponents of disseminating untrue information about his performance as Education Minister. Ablakwa denounced Education Minister Napo’s recent accusations of developing and endorsing a Comprehensive Sezuality Education (CSE) curriculum for Ghanaian students during the launch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) campaign in Asawase Constituency on Saturday, 27 October 2024.
Additionally, Napo claimed that the North Tongu MP engaged religious leaders to sway teachers into adopting the program, which Ablakwa refuted. Ablakwa categorizes the statement as “clearly inaccurate.”
Ablakwa expressed concern about NAPO’s dissemination of false information and emphasized the need for a clean campaign in 2024, free from lies, defamation, and character attacks.
He warned of taking action against NAPO and mentioned that further communication on this issue would be forthcoming.
Additionally, he highlighted the NDC’s “Operation Recover All Loot” (ORAL) program, aimed at recovering allegedly misused state funds and holding responsible parties accountable.
This initiative, he explained, is a crucial aspect of the party’s goal to promote transparency and accountability in government. Muntaka Mubarak additionally spoke to NDC loyalists, advising them to stay alert and protect their ballots in the forthcoming December 7 parliamentary elections in order to secure a win for John Mahama.
