On Saturday, March 8, President John Dramani Mahama commenced a day-long working visit to Bamako, Mali, as part of his tour promoting positive relations with neighboring countries in the region.
During this segment of his trip, he will visit Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso, nations that have exited the ECOWAS bloc to establish their Alliance of Sahel states.
Upon landing, he received a warm reception at Modiba Keita Airport from the Transitional President, General Goita, after which the two held a private meeting at the presidential palace.
