Bawumia Engages With Catholic Bishops
The NPP’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, held a meeting with the Ghana Catholic Bishops Conference at the Pope John Paul Formation Centre in Ofoase Kokoben, Ashanti Region.
The Conference president, Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi is dedicated to addressing important national concerns such as the upcoming December 7 elections and the ethical values of Ghanaian society. Bawumia, in a statement shared on his social media page, characterized the conversations as “open, honest, and enlightening.”
He thanked the Catholic Bishops for their valuable “fatherly advice” and expressed appreciation for the chance to interact with them. The discussions covered significant national topics such as the December 7 elections and the ethical standards in our society. I appreciate the guidance given by my father. “May God bless us all,” he emphasized.
The meeting is part of the Vice President’s ongoing interactions with different religious and community organizations before the December 7 elections. His campaign team aims to promote a peaceful, morally-guided, and united approach to governance and national development.
The NPP flagbearer, currently on a campaign tour in the Ashanti Region, has regularly highlighted the significance of government collaborating with faith-based groups for national development.
From Ofoase Kokoben, Vice President Dr. Bawumia conducted his campaign tour, making notable stops in the Bekwai, Bosomtwe, Ejisu, and Asokwa regions.
Enthusiastic supporters warmly greeted him, boosting his dedication to advancing Ghana’s overall development through his policies and initiatives.
“I appreciate the enthusiastic reception I received, which reinforces my confidence that my policies and programs are ideal for propelling Ghana towards comprehensive development,” he affirmed.
He urged Ghanaians to support his vision, Dr. Bawumia encouraged his followers to share the message: “Encourage others to vote for fresh ideas and innovative solutions on December 7th.” Collectively, we can achieve this goal.”
Dr. Bawumia’s election effort in the Ashanti Area picked up speed as he was warmly welcomed in Akrofuom, Obuasi East, and Obuasi West. He mentioned that the enthusiastic welcome illustrated the increasing backing for his idea of improving Ghana.
